Pallet Rack Add-On Kit
Extend a row of pallet rack storage with a pallet rack shelving add-on unit that integrates all the pieces needed to maximize your vertical storage space. These teardrop-style pallet rack add-on units include an upright frame and a pair of step beams for strong, reliable storage that you can install yourself. Additional pallet rack beam pairs can be added to increase the number of levels in the rack.
The upright frame will match the upright frame’s height and depth selected in the initial pallet rack shelving starter unit. All uprights are made of 14-gauge steel and have a load capacity of 21,780 lbs with the first beam at 48”.
The uprights are strong and can be well-secured to ensure the rack’s strength. Teardrop-shaped holes spaced at 2” centers in the upright allow step beams to create openings custom for your needs.
Pallet Rack Beam Length and Face
You can select different step beams for different load requirements in the add-on unit. Select the length and face of the beam based on your load requirements.
96” Step Beams (8 Feet) Are 16 Gauge with 3 Beam Faces:
- 4” step beam – Load capacity 4,027 lbs – Beam weight 23.03 lbs
- 4.5” step beam – Load capacity 5,216 lbs – Beam weight 24.66 lbs
- 5” step beam – Load capacity 6,264 lbs – Beam weight 26.27 lbs
108” Step Beams (9 Feet) Are 16 Gauge with 2 Beam Faces:
- 4.5” step beam – Load capacity 4,277 lbs – Beam weight 27.50 lbs
- 5” step beam – Load capacity 5,568 lbs – Beam weight 29.33 lbs”
144” Step Beams (12 Feet) Are 14 Gauge with 1 Beam Face:
- 6” step beam – Load capacity 6,337 lbs – Beam weight 55.07 lbs
