Teardrop Pallet Racking Unit
Easily order a starter pallet rack shelving kit that integrates all the pieces you need to maximize your vertical storage space. These teardrop-style pallet rack units include two upright frames and two pairs of step beams for strong, reliable storage you can install yourself. Additional step beam pairs can be added to increase the number of levels in the rack.
You choose the height and depth of the upright frames and the length and strength of the step beams to create a pallet rack that fits your needs exactly. This starter kit provides vertical storage to organize your pallets.
The upright frame selected determines the rack depth and height. All uprights are made of 14 gauge steel and have a load capacity of 21,780 lbs with the first beam at 48”.
Upright Frame Depth and Height:
36” (3 Feet) with the Following Heights:

42” (3 ½ Feet) with the Following Heights:
- 8 feet
- 12 feet
- 16 feet
- 20 feet
- 24 feet
48” (4 Feet) with the Following Heights:

The uprights are strong and can be well-secured to ensure the rack’s strength. Teardrop-shaped holes spaced at 2” centers in the upright allow step beams to create openings custom for your needs.
The width of the rack is determined by the step beams you select. The step beams can be sized to carry loads of different weights.

96” Step Beams (8 Feet) are 16 Gauge with 3 Beam Faces
- 4” step beam – Load capacity 4,027 lbs – Beam weight 23.03 lbs
- 4.5” step beam – Load capacity 5,216 lbs – Beam weight 24.66 lbs
- 5” step beam – Load capacity 6,264 lbs – Beam weight 26.27 lbs
108” Step Beams (9 Feet) are 16 Gauge with 2 Beam Faces
- 4.5” step beam – Load capacity 4,277 lbs – Beam weight 27.50 lbs
- 5” step beam – Load capacity 5,568 lbs – Beam weight 29.33 lbs
144” Step Beams (12 Feet) are 14 Gauge with 1 Beam Face
- 6” step beam – Load capacity 6,337 lbs – Beam weight 55.07 lbs

Customize your pallet rack kit further with options to enhance your rack’s usefulness.
- For taller upright frames, additional pairs of step beams add levels.
- Protect your rack with end-row guards and upright protectors.
- Order an add-on kit to extend the storage capacity of your total rack. Add-on kits contain one upright frame plus however many beam levels you choose.
