At StorageRack.com, we want you to be delighted with your purchase. If you need to return or exchange an item, we are here to help make the process as smooth as possible. Please review our policies below for information on returns, replacements, and cancellations. Damages & Freight Claims

Please remember that you are the final inspector of your order. We carefully pack and inspect all orders before they leave our facilities, but once the carrier receives the shipment, responsibility for its safe delivery is transferred to the carrier. StorageRack.com contracts with the carrier to deliver your order, but our responsibility ends when the shipment is handed over to the carrier. To protect all parties involved, please inspect your order upon delivery to confirm that it is complete and free of damage.

You will receive a packing list detailing all items with your order. Please compare your order to this packing list to ensure all items are included. If the packing list is missing or if there is any damage or shortage, it must be noted on the carrier’s delivery receipt.

Additionally, you should thoroughly inspect the cartons for any visible signs of damage, such as holes, re-sealed packaging, stains, or wetness. After checking the order, you must sign for the shipment, confirming it was received in full and in good condition. This signature releases the freight company from further responsibility. Concealed damage claims may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.

Any issues with the order must be reported to the carrier while the driver is present and documented on the delivery receipt. You should contact StorageRack.com’s customer service at 1-888-357-1107 within 24 hours of receiving the order. In no circumstance will returns be considered if StorageRack.com is not notified of issues with your order within five (5) days of delivery.

For any shortages noted on the delivery receipt, we will replace the missing items at no extra charge, including freight costs, provided the notification is made within five (5) days. You must provide us with a copy of the delivery receipt noting the damage or shortage and a request for either replacement or credit. We can only offer reshipment or reimbursement if the delivery receipt is documented correctly.

Please keep all damaged products and packaging materials at the delivery location until the carrier has completed an inspection. Do not dispose of any packaging until all discrepancies have been addressed. If someone else receives the shipment, ensure the receiving party knows these instructions. Failure to follow these procedures may result in additional charges for returns or replacements or an outright denial of such.

Concealed Damage: If concealed damage is discovered, it should be reported to StorageRack.com within 24 hours of discovery but no later than five (5) days from receipt of the order. The customer is responsible for inspecting the order and notifying StorageRack.com of any concealed damage. Failure to do so will prevent us from filing a claim with the carrier.

StorageRack.com will investigate any concealed damage claims promptly. However, if the damage is not noted on the delivery receipt, additional charges for replacement may apply.

For returns or replacements, please contact customer service at 1-888-357-1107 or email info@storagerack.com. For prepaid returns, please retain the tracking number in case the package is not received.

Notes and Exceptions:

  • Credits, including discounts, are issued for the price paid at the time of order.
  • Keep all packing materials and documentation in case a return is necessary.
  • Special orders are not eligible for credit. However, exchanges may be available within 30 days of the invoice date.
  • To qualify for credit, products must be returned within five (5) business days of receiving the return authorization.

Order Cancellation

StorageRack.com must receive written notification to process an order cancellation. You can email the cancellation request to info@storagerack.com.

StorageRack.com will process your cancellation once received. If your order has already shipped, you will be responsible for any applicable freight charges, including return shipping costs. A restocking fee may also apply, not exceeding 25% of the total purchase price. A restocking fee may still apply if the order has yet to ship but was already prepared for shipment.

We work closely with our suppliers to minimize any costs associated with order cancellations. Please note that cancellation requests made through regular mail may not be processed in time to avoid the associated charges. We recommend using email for faster processing.

Return Authorization

Orders can only be canceled or returned with the written consent of StorageRack.com. We offer a 30-day return policy, subject to certain limitations. To initiate a return, you must first obtain a Return Authorization (RA) by contacting our Customer Service at 1-888-357-1107 or by emailing info@storagerack.com. The return process is subject to our shipping and return policies, and shipping costs may apply. Items returned without a valid RA number will not be accepted.

StorageRack.com reserves the right to refuse any return at our discretion.

Unopened, Unused Products Returned for Replacement with Another Item

If you wish to replace an unopened, unused product with another item, the replacement will be treated as a new order. Please follow the instructions above for returning unopened, unused items. Once we receive and inspect the returned product, your new order will be processed, your credit card will be charged, and the replacement item will be shipped immediately. Credit for the returned item will be issued upon receipt and inspection.

Warranty and Defective/Incorrect Product Returned for Replacement

We will replace most defective or incorrect items within 30 days of delivery. To arrange the return of a defective or incorrect product, contact StorageRack.com with the original order number. We will ship the replacement upon receiving the returned item. If it is determined that the returned item is not defective or incorrect, you will be responsible for all additional charges, including return shipping and any applicable call tag fees.

Disclaimer of Other Warranties

The warranties provided herein are exclusive and replace all other warranties not expressly outlined. This includes both expressed and implied warranties, whether arising by law or otherwise, including but not limited to any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The buyer must provide written notice to StorageRack.com of any defects within five (5) days of discovering the defect, or when it reasonably should have been discovered, and no later than the last day of the applicable warranty period.

Defective Product Returned for Credit

We will issue a credit for most defective items within five (5) days of delivery. To be eligible for credit, the return must include the complete product, any accompanying literature in the original packaging, and the original order number. Credits will be processed upon receipt and inspection of the product. If it is determined that the item is not defective, you will be responsible for all return shipping charges, including call tag fees if applicable, and a 25% restocking fee may apply.

Non-Defective Items

Used non-defective items are not eligible for return, credit, or replacement. Non-defective items that have been opened or have broken seals may be returned, but a 25% restocking fee may apply. We are not liable if the wrong product is ordered. We strive to provide accurate, detailed descriptions of all the items we sell.

To ensure you order the correct product, please contact our customer service department during regular business hours for assistance. Since product specifications may change over time, any uncertainties should be clarified before purchasing. Manufacturers do not permit the return or exchange of opened, non-defective items for credit or replacement.

Refused Shipments

If you refuse delivery of a shipment, you will be responsible for all applicable freight charges, including the cost of the return shipment. Additionally, you may be charged a restocking fee of up to 25% of the total purchase price.
